1501 Locust

Bathroom, Loft, Residential

2016

When our clients purchased their loft as a pied-a-terre in the city, they didn’t expect that they’d start spending more than half of their time in this residence. With only a couple full walls in the loft, privacy was becoming an issue as they frequently hosted out of town guests and their builder-grade bathrooms didn’t reflect their personal aesthetics. REFINE completed a design and renovation that included enclosing the two bedrooms and a cosmetic renovation of both bathrooms. Due to the bathroom location (interior without windows,) materials were selected that would bounce light around via tumble glass mosaic, reflective porcelain tiles and chrome fixtures. The end result was a warm, light, and timeless look that still felt cohesive with the industrial materials used in the communal living spaces throughout the loft.
